The brain.

If you want to gain a testimony that God exists, then study Behavioral Nuerobiology (the brain). I am taking that class right now, and I absolutely love it. Now I understand that everyone may not be nerdy like me and love the brain, but I recommend you study science. Science is fascinating. I love it because everything is so exciting! I never thought I would say that, but it is true. When I study the brain structure and functions, it fascinates me. There has to be some great creator to make the brain. The brain is so complicated yet so simple. There are so many areas of the brain that "specialize" in a function, but ultimately the brain works together to get the job done. So if one area is damaged, there are other areas that may cover for the damage. It is amazing.

Tomorrow for class, we are going to see a brain. It has been hardened over time, but we will be able to see it up close. In my nerdy ways, I feel like its Christmas Eve. The teacher was so excited to tell us that we are going to see a brain. He said, "I know none of you contain my excitement". I wanted to raise my hand and say, "yes, pick me!". I know, it is kinda ridiculous. I am not afraid to show my love for the brain on this blog, but maybe not on campus. My admiration...well maybe not admiration...but fascination with neurons is not normal.

Sometimes I think to myself, "If I was with God, what would I ask him?". If I was near God right now, I would ask him how he came up with the structure of the brain. He is a pure genius. I would also ask him why he didn't give us that much protection to your skull. Let me tell ya, kids wear your helmets! The brain is fragile, and you don't want your brain damaged. Your brain is the most important part of your body (except your heart). So, please be careful and not damage your head.

I hope someone other than my mother can appreciate my love for the brain. If you ever have desires to learn more about it, please do. It will definitely change your perspective on life. And maybe you will helmets more if you know about the structure of the brain.
