Mother's Day

As we all know it was mother's day yesterday. I would like to dedicate this song to my mom. She is very supportive in my ideas. She lets me make my own decisions. She has seen me cry many times. I remember many times in High School coming home and feeling left out. She always would find a way to cheer me up with cookies, shopping, music, or hugs. She taught me how to be strong, how to love to learn, to work hard, and to laugh at my dad's goofy jokes. She has a strong testimony and teaches me what priorities I need to put first. She loves to serve others. She absolutely loves her seminary kids. They are her adopted kids. My friends are her adopted kids. Every time my friends come over, she loves to join in our conversation and talk to us. She loves to entertain others with games, food, and conversation. She is intelligent. I remember her reading a lot when I was younger. I remember going to the library and getting books. She loves learning about all subjects. She is proactive. She is human. I love my mom! I love shopping with her. I love driving in the car and singing Andrea Bocceli with her. I love going to concerts and drooling over all the cuties ;) I love to talk to her about my life and hear what she has to say. She gives good advice unless she is freaking out over something that is unimportant. She trusts me to build up my own life. I thank her for her example that she has set!

  1. That was so sweet, Kristen. I love you soooo much! I, too, love all the things about us you mentioned. I am so grateful that at a time that so many parent/child relationships struggle, you and I created so many treasures memories. Most of them have to do with our common bond of music. We're a lot like Taylor Swift and her mom in the video. But instead of the little blonde hair girl who says she has spiders in her hair (Taylor), our video of you is trying to fit puzzle pieces into a puzzle that don't fit, or singing the 'Daddy I wuv you' song. We need to find a great duet that we can play together this summer. Thank you for being so wonderful. I have all that trust in you as you describe because you have earned it. You have a solid head on your shoulder. You are a perfect mix of Anne, Lizzie, and Emma, your favorite heroines. I love you!!! Mom
