Wishin' and Hopin'
I love weddings, they just make me happy. I love watching the first dance. I love watching couples stuff cake into each other's face. I love wedding dresses and colors. I think at one point in my life I considered being a wedding planner. I would love it, but in my brother's wedding I learned a lot. Wedding Planning is hard. It takes lots of time, money, decisions. You have to decide your wedding colors, place for the reception, luncheon, wedding date, flowers, first dance song, catering, and 5 thousand other things. Even thought it is hectic, it is a very exciting time! Picking out fabric took lots of time, but it was fun to match colors and figure out what color combinations work. I love the wedding reception, mormon wedding receptions are much different than regular receptions. They are much cheaper, we do things to save money. I came up with ideas for my wedding in 5 years....haha. Well, maybe not 5 years but not anytime soon!
1. Me and my bridesmaids are going to make a music video to the song; Wishin' and Hopin'. It will imitate this.
Hanna Dunn and I will have a kick out of this. This is mandatory for my wedding in 5 years.
2. I will have a dance at my reception. I will make a amazing playlist with upbeat classic songs where we can ballroom dance and just have fun. One of the songs to start the dance will be..."I wanna dance with somebody" by Whitney Houston. How could you not enjoy dancing with your hubby on this song? I would have a good mixture of Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, some country....I will have to pick them wisely. My slow song: "The Way you Look Tonight" by Tony Bennett. I love that version of the song, the Frank Sinatra is more peppy and not a very good slow dance. If you want to foxtrot, then I would choose that version. I would add some of me and my future husband's songs to the playlist. It will be fun.
3. I am not huge into cake. I know it is traditional. I like cupcakes more just because they are more individual. I can decorate each one differently. I could have my different wedding colors in the cupcakes. I could put frosting all over that future man's face.
4. I would have lots of candles and flowers. I love the candles lighting. I just love candles. They make the room just look romantic. You can feel love come out of the candles. And who doesn't want romance in their wedding?
5. I will have a summer wedding. Not a December wedding in the rain or snow. Waiting in the rain and snow for the bride and groom is not fun. Your feet don't like to be frozen together.
Those are my ideas for now. They will probably change, but its good to have somewhat of a picture right?
