Birds

Some people may think this is funny, but I will tell you it is not funny. So don't laugh. Don't even think about it. Today I went to the beach with my family. It was beautiful and I enjoyed every minute of it except eating my lunch. We went to chipotle and I got my yummy chicken burrito. I start eating it on the beach on a bench thing. A bird swoops done, hits my head and lands on my food. We then start becoming popular around the birds. Lesson learned today: When I tell my mom something she needs to listen. I told her in Chipotle that we should eat inside. Did she listen to me? No. And the most important lesson learned: Don't eat on the beach. The birds will love you and they are not scared of you. They will come close to you and grab your food. Excuse me: did you pay for that food? That is what I want to say to them. Get out of my way or else you will be a dead bird. They are the worst scavengers I have met in my life. They are scary beyond belief. I am not joking around. You want to see a picture of one of these annoying vicious animals?

I know it may sound very unkind but I changed the words to "feed the birds". It is now "kill the birds". End of story!

Last night I was thinking about how Disney calls merchandise "tangible memories". I thought it was stupid how they changed the name, but then It made me think about the tangible and intangible things in our lives. There are so many tangible things that we give value to. Learning to Let Go

Yes, that is my lesson that I have been learning the last couple of months. Update on my life: I postponed my mission. I feel really good about my decision. I was planning on leaving to the MTC on July 31st. The best way to explain my decision is that life changes and curve balls are thrown at you. It was a very confusing time of my life as I was deciding whether or not to postpone my mission, but I made sure that I was making the right decision. I want to go back to school and continue my "career" or pathway to a career. I want to be a social worker and feel like I can serve God with my career. So, I am staying home. I have a testimony of the church and I respect all the missionaires serving right now. If I was 19, I would have a different outlook as a missionary. At this time, I feel like I should be spending my time in other areas of my life. And it is important to realize that sisters are not commanded to serve a full time mission. Predictable Chick Flicks

I love them yet I always wonder why I am watching them after I have wasted 2 hours of my day. I just watched a "made for tv" movie with Hilary Duff called "Beauty and the Briefcase". The basic plot of the movie is really dumb. Guys are stupid, and Hillary Duff or Lane, has a perfect guy that she is waiting around for. Each guy dosen't fit the checklist, so she is always disappointed. She starts working in a buisness place with men wearing suits in order to find love. She falls in love with a boss who is opposite of everything she wanted. So basic theme: You find love in unexpected places when you aren't looking for it. Now that you know the basic plot of the movie, you can hear the last line of the movie. "Lane, I can't feel my arm". You could predict everything in that movie, the acting was horrible.
