My Philosophy on Valentine's Day

Either you hate or love Valentine's Day. It has different names for different groups of people. It is named Single's Awareness Day for all the lonely singles. It is Hallmark Day for cheap couples or people trying to save up their money and not spend on roses, chocolate, teddy bears with "I love you". It is the best day in the world for people in love because they receive extra attention and hear things they wouldn't usually on a regular day.

Anyways, whatever group you are in, have a happy valentine's day. Even if you don't have a special someone you can still celebrate it. You can celebrate with friends and family. What did I do today? Me and my roommates had a valentine's day breakfast. We made heart chocolate chip pancakes, muffins, eggs, and sausage. We all wore black. We had Meet Me in St. Louis playing in the background. What group do fit in? I don't really have a group. I don't hate Valentine's Day, it is just another day in my life. My valentine this year is Mickey Mouse. Be jealous! I hear he kinda likes me back ;)  Don't tell Minnie, I don't want a catfight!

And a small note to couples out there if you actually are reading this. I heard someone complaining about how they get roses only on Valentine's Day. Just because tomorrow and the rest of the days of the year aren't Valentine's Day dosen't mean you can't show your love and affection! That is all. Have a great night everyone!

Learning to Let Go

Yes, that is my lesson that I have been learning the last couple of months. Update on my life: I postponed my mission. I feel really good about my decision. I was planning on leaving to the MTC on July 31st. The best way to explain my decision is that life changes and curve balls are thrown at you. It was a very confusing time of my life as I was deciding whether or not to postpone my mission, but I made sure that I was making the right decision. I want to go back to school and continue my "career" or pathway to a career. I want to be a social worker and feel like I can serve God with my career. So, I am staying home. I have a testimony of the church and I respect all the missionaires serving right now. If I was 19, I would have a different outlook as a missionary. At this time, I feel like I should be spending my time in other areas of my life. And it is important to realize that sisters are not commanded to serve a full time mission. Predictable Chick Flicks

I love them yet I always wonder why I am watching them after I have wasted 2 hours of my day. I just watched a "made for tv" movie with Hilary Duff called "Beauty and the Briefcase". The basic plot of the movie is really dumb. Guys are stupid, and Hillary Duff or Lane, has a perfect guy that she is waiting around for. Each guy dosen't fit the checklist, so she is always disappointed. She starts working in a buisness place with men wearing suits in order to find love. She falls in love with a boss who is opposite of everything she wanted. So basic theme: You find love in unexpected places when you aren't looking for it. Now that you know the basic plot of the movie, you can hear the last line of the movie. "Lane, I can't feel my arm". You could predict everything in that movie, the acting was horrible.
