Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust

One thing I love about DisneyWorld is the optomistic attitude that is shown in the park. During the shows, parades, fireworks, the message is "dream it, do it". That is a quote from Walt Disney. One thing I have learned from being here is you can live your life dreaming or you can live your life making your dreams come true. It is your choice.

I know It sounds really cheesy, and I know I may sound all "disney". But during my traditions we learned that Walt Disney was always told "no". Every idea he came up with he was told that it was impossible. He made the impossible possible. That is what makes DisneyWorld magical. If you have dreams and you are willing to put your heart and soul in it, then there is a high chance that it might come true. I have a lot of dreams I want to achieve in my life. I want to get my masters. I want to write a book. I want to travel to Europe. I could write a blog about my dreams. I feel like sometimes what I want to do with my life is unachievable. But I am wrong. I can achieve anything If I put my hard work and my heart into it.

Last night I was thinking about how Disney calls merchandise "tangible memories". I thought it was stupid how they changed the name, but then It made me think about the tangible and intangible things in our lives. There are so many tangible things that we give value to. Learning to Let Go

Yes, that is my lesson that I have been learning the last couple of months. Update on my life: I postponed my mission. I feel really good about my decision. I was planning on leaving to the MTC on July 31st. The best way to explain my decision is that life changes and curve balls are thrown at you. It was a very confusing time of my life as I was deciding whether or not to postpone my mission, but I made sure that I was making the right decision. I want to go back to school and continue my "career" or pathway to a career. I want to be a social worker and feel like I can serve God with my career. So, I am staying home. I have a testimony of the church and I respect all the missionaires serving right now. If I was 19, I would have a different outlook as a missionary. At this time, I feel like I should be spending my time in other areas of my life. And it is important to realize that sisters are not commanded to serve a full time mission. Predictable Chick Flicks

I love them yet I always wonder why I am watching them after I have wasted 2 hours of my day. I just watched a "made for tv" movie with Hilary Duff called "Beauty and the Briefcase". The basic plot of the movie is really dumb. Guys are stupid, and Hillary Duff or Lane, has a perfect guy that she is waiting around for. Each guy dosen't fit the checklist, so she is always disappointed. She starts working in a buisness place with men wearing suits in order to find love. She falls in love with a boss who is opposite of everything she wanted. So basic theme: You find love in unexpected places when you aren't looking for it. Now that you know the basic plot of the movie, you can hear the last line of the movie. "Lane, I can't feel my arm". You could predict everything in that movie, the acting was horrible.
